Marvin F. Neal

Marvin F. Neal, 89, Elizabeth, died Wednesday, April 5, 2017, at his home.
Born Sept. 15, 1927, in Sunnybrook, Ky., he was the son of the late James D and Rena Beatty Neal.
He was a retired production worker of Hobart Manufacturing, an Army veteran, a member of First Baptist Church of Elizabeth and a former Little League baseball coach for years.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Edwin (Awol) Neal; a grandson, Eugene (Boo) Neal; and eight siblings.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, the former Christine Zachery; five sons, Gary (Linda) of Jeffersonville, Marshall of Elizabeth, Jerry (Alice) of Laconia and Kevin (Laura) and Keith (Sherry), both of Corydon; three daughters, Marsha McCowan (Danny) of Jeffersonville and Sandra Seelye and Amy Hatch, both of Elizabeth; 19 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; three brothers, James Neal of Pendleton, Ky., David Neal of Monticello, Ky., and Hubert Neal of Millford, Ill.; and two sisters, Justeen Bertram of Monticello, Ky., and Mary Alice Parringin of Albany, Ky.
Visitation: Sunday, April 9, from 2 to 8 p.m. and Monday, April 10, after 9 a.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Monday, April 10, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Depauw United Methodist Church Cemetery in Elizabeth.
The family suggests memorial gifts to Kindred Hospice.
