Donna Woertz Caughey, 84, Corydon, died Saturday, March 11, 2017.
Born July 18, 1932, in Benton County, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Thelma Briles Woertz.
She studied to be a beautician and served many seniors in Harrison County delivering Meals on Wheels and driving them to local services. She retired from the United States Postal Service after many years as a rural route mail carrier, was involved with youth as a 4-H and a Girl Scout leader and attended Northside Christian Church.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Jim, and a brother, Herb.
Survivors include a sister, Betty Woertz Bickel (Keith); a sister-in-law, Jan Woertz; three children, Bill of Corydon, Cathy Dobbins (Ronnie) of New Salisbury and Laurie Hammack (Dan) of Santa Barbara, Calif.; seven grandchildren, Matt Caughey, Faith Gentry (Tyler), Mandy Caughey, Dustin Dobbins (Maria), Zach Dobbins (Crystal), Jordan Dobbins (Heather) and Noah Dobbins; 11 great-grandchildren, Shayna, Jesse, Gavin, Hunter, Bentley, Kaelin, Aden, Jace, Aria, Benjamin and Harper; and several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements: Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon. Cremation was chosen with inurnment at Pfrimmer’s Chapel Cemetery near Corydon. There will be no visitation or service.
