Janet Zurschmiede Budd, 65, Elizabeth, died Thursday, March 2, 2017, at Hosparus Inpatient Care Center in Louisville after a battle with glioblastoma.
She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in dental hygiene at the University of Louisville and, in 2006, graduated at the top of her class from Sullivan University with degrees in baking and pastry and culinary arts.
She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Speith Zurschmiede.
Survivors include her husband of 43 years, Chet Budd; a daughter, Valerie Annine Temple (Israel); a son, Charles Craig Budd (Ashley); six grandchildren, Vivian, Issabelle and Scarlett Temple and Jaxson, Kaden and Graysen Budd; her mother, Mary Ann Zurschmiede; two brothers, Steve of Oakland Park, Fla., and Eric of Wichita, Kan.; and nieces and nephews.
Visitation: Thursday, March 9, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Kraft Funeral Service in New Albany. Cremation was chosen, and burial will follow at a later date.
