Gerald O. Russell

Gerald O. Russell, 83, Pekin, formerly of Harrison County, died Friday, Feb. 24, 2017, at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany.
Born March 26, 1933, in Pekin, he was the son of the late Sherman and Ora Cress Russell.
He was a retired businessman, farmer, school bus driver for East Washington schools, a member of Pekin Church of Christ and a Marine veteran.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by as brother, William R. Russell.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, the former Rosemary Glasgow; a son, Brad Russell of Pekin; a daughter, Sarah Ground of New Salisbury; and four grandchildren.
Visitation: Monday, Feb. 27, from 4 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday, Feb. 28, after 9 a.m. at Weathers Funeral Home in Salem.
Funeral: Tuesday, Feb. 28, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with burial, and military honors, in Crown Hill Cemetery in Salem.
