Lee P. King

Lee Parr King, 79, Battletown, Ky., died Saturday, Jan. 21, 2017, at Norton Audubon Hospital in Louisville.
Born Sept. 24, 1937, in Louisville, he was the son of the late Hugh Lee and Alberta Parr King.
He retired from the Transportation Department of Civil Service at Fort Knox with 29 years of service, was the owner-operator of the Corydon Jamboree for more than 22 years, worked for TACK for more than 10 years in Brandenburg, was a Scottish Rite Shriner and was a member of the Harrison Masonic Lodge No. 122 F&AM, the J.R. Dink Chapter No. 347 Order of the Eastern Star and was a member of Wolf Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, the former Alice Fay Johnston.
Visitation: Tuesday, Jan. 24, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Wednesday, Jan. 25, after 9 a.m. at Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home in Brandenburg.
Funeral: Wednesday, Jan. 25, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Parr-Frans Cemetery in Battletown.
The family suggests memorial gifts to Wolf Creek Baptist Church.
