Suzann L. Chism

Suzann LaValle Cureton Chism, 76, English, formerly of Simpsonville and Greenville, S.C., died Sunday, Jan. 8, 2017, at the Kentuckiana Medical Center in Clarksville.
Born June 25, 1940, in Fortuna, Calif., she was the daughter of the late Edward James and Margaret Juanita Bastian Cureton.
She was a retired secretary, an extra class HAMM radio operator with the call sign of N4ENX and a lifetime member of the Amateur Radio Relay League.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her three sisters, Meredith Rowena Cooney, Anita Louise Cureton and Elaine Meridith McDougal.
Survivors include her husband of 51 years, John Earl Chism; a sister, Carolynn Margaret Alvarez (Dave) of Kennewick, Wash.; and a brother, Edmund James (Kelly) Cureton of Lathrop, Calif.
Visitation: Sunday, Jan. 15, from 1 to 4 p.m., with a rosary service at 4, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon. Cremation was chosen.
