Steven L. Archibald
Steven L. Archibald, 68, Elizabeth, died Friday, Jan. 6, 2017, at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany.
Born June 4, 1948, in Alton, he was the son of the late Charles Marion and Olive Kathleen Atwood Archibald.
He was a retired electronics engineer for Waupaca Foundry in Tell City, worked in the Willamette paper mill in Hawesville, Ky., and was a Navy veteran.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Joseph Wallace Archibald, and a sister, Shirley Pease.
Survivors include his wife, the former Sandra Hester-Jacobs; a daughter, Amanda Kaelin (Kenton) of Elizabeth; five brothers, LeRoy Archibald (Judy) of Tennessee, Johnnie Archibald (Vickie) of Georgetown and Michael (Debbie), James (Cindy) and Joseph (Kelly) Archibald, all of Elizabeth; four sisters, Jane Pendleton (Frank) of Elizabeth, JoAnn Skaggs (James) of Lanesville, Donna Skaggs (Fred) of Ramsey and Rebecca Hamilton (Rick) of Kenton, Ohio; two grandchildren, Tyrin Archibald and Katie Kaelin; a sister-in-law, Susie Reed of Marion, N.C.; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation: Wednesday, Jan. 11, from 2 to 8 p.m. and Thursday, Jan. 12, after 9 a.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Thursday, Jan. 12, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with burial, and military rites, in Rose Hill Cemetery in Elizabeth.
Officiants: The Rev. Frank Pendleton and LeRoy Archibald.
