Paul Edward Saulman, 90, Corydon, died Saturday, Dec. 31, 2016, at the Episcopal Church Home in Louisville.
Born June 24, 1926, in Corydon, he was the son of the late Ellsworth J. and Alma Kiger Saulman.
He served in the Army Air Forces during World War II, was secretary and treasurer of the Louisville Bourbon Stock Yards Co. for more than 30 years, served Harrison County for 16 years as its treasurer and tax assessor and was a member of Old Capitol United Methodist Church and the Pisgah Masonic Lodge No. 32 F&AM, both in Corydon.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Corinne Watson; an infant daughter, Maggie Saulman; and two sisters, Pauline Ashton (his twin) and Alyce Watson.
Survivors include a son, Dennis Mark Saulman (Gerry Oosterholt) of Arlington, Va.; three daughters, Paula Dianne Hill (Terry), Teresa Marie Hartnett and Lori Michele Gardner (Tony), all of Louisville; three brothers, James Saulman (Bonnie), Carl (Corky) Saulman and Kenneth Saulman (Naomi), all of Corydon; a sister, Susie Troncin (Tommy) of Corydon; six grandchildren, Stacy Jo Guess, Joshua Hill, Jessica and Jaclyn Hartnett, Clark Stephens and Tara Lyles; and three great-grandchildren, Charlie and Emma Guess and Olivia Hill.
Visitation: Tuesday, Jan. 3, from 2 to 8 p.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon and Wednesday, Jan. 4, after 9 a.m. at Old Capitol United Methodist Church in Corydon.
Funeral: Wednesday, Jan. 4, at 11 a.m. at the church with burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.
Officiant: The Rev. Andy Hansen.
Pallbearers: Clark Stephens, Guy Michael Watson, Johnny Ashton, Bill and Mick Saulman and Brian Lyles.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the Alzheimer’s Association, Old Capitol United Methodist Church or the American Cancer Society.
