John R. Deming

John Robertson Deming, 86 died Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2016, at Kindred-Rolling Hills in New Albany.
Born May 5, 1930, in New Albany, he was the son of the late John F. and Ida Mae Robertson Deming.
He was a retired warehouse manager at McJunkin Corp. in Louisville, a life-long farmer, a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church near Lanesville and a Marine veteran during the Korean conflict.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Edith Hausz, and two sisters, Ruthie Hodge and Rosalie Nance.
Survivors include two sons, John C. Deming of Georgetown and David A. Deming of Greenville; a daughter, Kathy Lynn Weber of Jeffersonville; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Friday, Dec. 9, from 1 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 10, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Georgetown.
Funeral: Saturday, Dec. 10, at 11 a.m., with military rites, at St. John’s Lutheran Church south of Lanesville with burial in the church cemetery.
Officiant: Pastor Ronald Richeson.
