James W. Walker
James Willard Walker, 89, New Middletown, died Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2016, at Clark’s Loving Care in New Albany.
Born May 21, 1927, in Green Briar Ridge, Ky., he was the son of the late William and Myrtle Faye Stotts Walker.
He was a retired machinist at Naval Ordnance in Louisville, a member of Midwest Tool Collector’s Association, a founding member of the Louisville Classical Guitar Society and a Marine veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, the former Mary Jane McQueary; a daughter, Kelli Lynn Stone; two grandchildren, Jared Ketterman (Caitlin) and Abigail Stone; three great-grandchildren, Grayson, Tallulah and Harrison Ketterman; four brothers, J.C. (Margaret), Jack (Juanita), Charles and Alfred (Karen) Walker; and two sisters, Vernetta Miller (Joe) and Betty Barrow (Bob).
Visitation: Saturday, Nov. 19, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Saturday, Nov. 19, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.
Officiant: Pastor Jim Shaw.
Pallbearers: Jared Ketterman, Eric Walker, Mike Johns, Todd Walker, Mark Brangers and Bill Walker.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the American Lung Association.
