Emily C. Polston

Emily Christine Polston, 94, Laconia, died Friday, Oct. 28, 2016, in Scottsburg.
Born Oct. 11, 1922, in Louisville, she was the daughter of the late Ed and Mary Lillian Cornwell Steen.
She was a homemaker, a farmer, a member of the former Memorial Baptist Church in Laconia and attended Union Chapel United Methodist Church.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil G. Polston, son-in-law, Thomas Lamb; brother, Paul Steen; sister, Pauline Gusler; and infant granddaughter, Angela Salisbury.
She is survived by five daughters, Lillian Lamb and Naomi Hill (Bob), both of Alabama, Peggy Rhodes (Jerry) of Florida, Stella Conder (Herdis) of Scottsburg and Rebecca Druin (Jerry) of Ohio; brother, David Steen (Joan) of Laconia; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Sunday, Oct. 30, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Sunday, Oct. 30, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Memorial Cemetery in Laconia.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the Cemetery Fund.
