Howard M. Burk

Howard M. Burk, 58, Jeffersonville, died Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2016, at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany.
Born July 29, 1958, in Louisville, he was the son of the late Hulon Myron Burk and Ruth Carmen Golden Burk Noble.
He was a member of Church on the Rock in New Albany and an employee of Wolverine Distribution in Louisville, where he served as supervisor.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Carmen Sumner.
Survivors include a daughter, Anthyna Michelle Burk of Jeffersonville, his significant other of 20 years, Theresa Milliner, three brothers, Malcolm Burk of Ohio, Kenny Burk of Galena and Myron Burk of Georgetown, four sisters, Sylvia Cooley of Alabama, Tuwanta Phelps and Cynthia Shaylor, both of New Albany, and Shirley Jones of South Carolina; and two grandchildren, Nico Burk and Chance Johnson.
Visitation: Thursday, Oct. 20, from 4 to 8 p.m. and Friday, Oct. 21, after 9 a.m. at Love Funeral Home in Palmyra.
Funeral: Friday, Oct. 21, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with burial in Greenville Cemetery.
