Walter Anthony (Tony) Wolfe Sr., 74, Indianapolis, formerly of Milltown, died Saturday, Oct. 8, 2016, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.
Born April 28, 1942, in Louisville, he was the son of the late Donald E. and Christina Virginia Semar Wolfe.
He was a retired foreman for Celanese Co., a past district governor and mentor for Toast Masters District 11, a A1C Champion for VPR Patient Outreach and a member of the Diabetes Association.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Gail M. Wolfe III.
Survivors include his companion, Diane Lehr Burton of Indianapolis; a son, Walter A. (Tony) Wolfe Jr. of Orlando, Fla.; a daughter, Patty L. Wolfe Mauck (Gregory) of Depauw; three brothers, Richard L. Wolfe of Fort Myers, Fla., and Wayne E. and Donald E. Wolfe II, both of Cleveland, Ohio; a sister, Susan A. Wolfe of White, S.D.; and two grandchildren, Nicholas R. Mauck and Christopher I. Mauck, both of Depauw.
Visitation: Thursday, Oct. 13, from noon to 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Milltown.
Memorial service: Thursday, Oct. 13, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
Officiant: Brother Bruce Hawkins.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the American Cancer Society or the Diabetes Association.
