Georgia Helen Rudolph Eveslage, 84, Palmyra, died Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2016, at her home.
Born Feb. 24, 1932, she was the daughter of the late George H and Blanche Libka Rudolph, formerly of Palmyra.
She was a long-standing member of Palmyra United Methodist Church, lead cook in the church kitchen, active in the Palmyra UMC Ladies Group, sang in the choir and involved in many other church functions. Before retiring, she worked at Save-A-Step, Pal Dairy Bar and the Palmyra Post Office.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Paul Eveslage, on Dec. 27, 2015; two brothers, Earl Rudolph and Alan Rudolph; two sisters, Eulla Rudolph and Verna Rudolph Emerson; a grandson, Mark R Davis; and two granddaughters, Gabrielle Eveslage and Bobbi Jo Eveslage.
Survivors include five children, Peggy Davis-McDaniel Bright (Yogi) of Palmyra, Dennis Eveslage (Bruce) of Spring, Texas, Gary Eveslage and Kenneth Eveslage (Linda), both of Palmyra, and Melissa Khorsheed (Karim) of Cypress, Texas; three brothers, Norris Rudolph of Palmyra and Arvile and Melvin Rudolph, both of Corydon; four sisters, Virginia Haub of Palmyra, Frances Stinnett of Georgetown, Darlene Lang of Salem and Carol Sue Smith of Borden; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Friday, Oct. 7, from 1 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 8, after 10 a.m. at Love Funeral Home in Palmyra.
Funeral: Saturday, Oct. 8, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in the Palmyra Cemetery.
