Ethel Jean Enlow Vaughn, 87, New Albany, died Saturday morning, Oct. 1, 2016, at the Hospice Inpatient Care Center Pavilion in Louisville.
Born in Milltown, she was the daughter of the late Everett and Bernice East Enlow.
She retired from Sears, Roebuck & Co. in Clarksville after 28 years of service in the accounting department, was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in New Albany and had formerly served as the church librarian.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Warren J. Vaughn; a son-in-law, Alan Hall; a brother, Estel Enlow; and a sister, Allison Pfaff.
Survivors include a son, Gary W. Vaughn (Debby) of New Albany; a daughter, Anita Hall of Orem, Utah; six grandchildren, Renee Mercer (Eric), Matthew Vaughn, Angela Morrill (Todd), Kevin Hall (Katy), Cara Jean Means (Marc) and Amanda Shafer (Tony); and 17 great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Friday, Oct. 7, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Oak St. Chapel of Seabrook, Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes in New Albany.
Graveside service: Saturday, Oct. 8, at 10 a.m. at Milltown Cemetery.
