Robert E. Moody Sr.

Robert E. Moody Sr., 84, Corydon, died Friday, Sept. 30, 2016, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville.
Born Jan. 19, 1932, in Montgomery, Ala., he was the son of the late Wallace and Foy Mae Lindsey Moody.
He was a retired maintenance employee of General Electric, a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Corydon and the Knights of Columbus Pope John Paul II Counsel 1808, a fourth-degree member of Assembly 3289 and an Army veteran.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly J. (Bev) Moody; three children, Delores Redwitz, Diane Ritter and David Richard (Rick) Moody; and a brother, George Nelson Moody.
Survivors include a son, Robert (Bo) Moody Jr. (Marcia) of Bethlehem, Ky.; two daughters, Stacey Elaine Collins of Louisville and Debbie Hale (Bill) of West Alexandria, Ohio; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Monday, Oct. 3, from 5 to 8 p.m., with a rosary service at 7:30, and Tuesday, Oct. 4, from 9 to 10 a.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon
Mass of Christian burial: Tuesday, Oct. 4, at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Corydon with burial in the church cemetery.
Celebrant: Father John Fink.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the Alzheimer’s Association or his church.
