John J. Rosbottom
John J. Rosbottom, 90, Corydon, died Friday, Sept. 16, 2016, at Kindred Transitional Care & Rehabilitation Center ‘ Indian Creek in Corydon.
Born Aug. 3, 1926, in Ramsey, he was the son of the late Joseph L. and Myrtle Gurtz Rosbottom.
He retired from Ford Motor Co. in 1983 after 30 years, was a veteran of World War II, was a member of New Middletown United Methodist Church and was a past member of Mauckport United Methodist Church.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Rose Rosbottom; two brothers, Warren and Dressel Rosbottom; two sisters, Ruby Reinhardt and Wanda Owens; and two daughters-in-law, Cyndi and Donna Sue Rosbottom.
Survivors include three sons, John D. Rosbottom (Nancy) of Jacksonville, Fla., and Joseph B. Rosbottom and Michael R. Rosbottom, both of New Middletown; a daughter, Reba Straub (Mike) of Corydon; a stepdaughter, Terry McIntosh of Jeffersonville; nine grandchildren, John, Benjamin, Brandon, Brian and Zachary Rosbottom, Lou Ann Straub-Steffens, Shannon Michael Straub, Kayla Straub Cannon and Chelsea McIntosh; and 12 great-grandchildren.
