Velda M. Wolfe

Velda Marie Wolfe, 95, Corydon, died Monday, Aug. 22, 2016, at Indian Creek Health & Rehabilitation Center in Corydon.
Born June 13, 1921, in Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Glenn and Goldie Hanner Stilwell.
She was formerly employed at Arvin Industries in Columbus, at Public Service Indiana in Corydon and at LifeSpan Resources and a member of Corydon United Methodist Church, VFW Post 2950 Ladies Auxiliary in Corydon, Hornickle Post 379 American Legion Ladies Auxiliary in Elizabeth, the Order of the Eastern Star and Daughters of the American Revolution.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ray F. Wolfe.
Survivors include a son, Philip Owen Wolfe Sr. of Corydon; a sister, June Marlene Cockerham of Clear Spring; two grandchildren, Philip Owen Wolfe Jr. and Zachary Ryan Wolfe, both of Pittman, N.J.; and a great-grandson, Philip M. Wolfe.
Visitation: Thursday, Aug. 25, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Thursday, Aug. 25, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.
