Imogene (Jean) Clements, 81, Laconia, died Monday, June 27, 2016, at her home.
Born June 12, 1935, in Harrison County, she was the daughter of the late Ezra and Hattie L. Gilmore Hunter.
She was a life member of the VFW Post 2950 Ladies Auxiliary in Corydon and was retired from General Electric in Louisville.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Hunter; four sisters, Mildred Payton, Altha Mae Boley, Ruth Steiner and Bonnie Wright; and a grandson, Christopher Wade Conrad.
Survivors include her husband, Alfred W. (Clem) Clements; a daughter, Jolonda J. Luther Yeargin (Sean) of Laconia; a brother, Russell Hunter (Helen) of Whiteland; a niece, Shirley Sieboldt; and her faithful canine companion, Chloie Jo.
Visitation: Wednesday, June 29, from 3 to 8 p.m. and Thursday, June 30, after 9 a.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Thursday, June 30, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Pfrimmer’s Chapel Cemetery east of Corydon.
Officiant: Dr. Charles Pelc.
Pallbearers: Mark Hornickle, Chip White, Ronnie Glenn McCarty, Rick Sieboldt, Jason Overton and Elmer Gurtz.
Honorary pallbearer: Libby Gurtz.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the American Cancer Society or the donor’s favorite humane society.
