Irwin J. Walter

Irwin J. Walter, 88, Milltown, died Thursday, April 28, 2016, at Kindred Transitional Care & Rehabilitation Center ‘ Indian Creek in Corydon.
Born Nov. 22, 1927, in Lanesville, he was the son of the late Herman and Edith Benson Walter.
He was retired from the Ford Motor Co. LAP in Louisville, was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church near Marengo and was a Hardinsburg Senior.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Geneva Troncin.
Survivors include a son, Bernard Walter of Carefree; three daughters, Rebecca Heintz of New Albany, Kathy Pate of Depauw and Karen Trett of Palmyra; two brothers, John and Jude Walter, both of Lanesville; three sisters, Frances Hess of Lanesville, Roberta Garrett of Clarksville and Leola Braun of Jeffersonville; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Friday, April 29, from 3 to 8 p.m., with a rosary at 6, and Saturday, April 30, after 8 a.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral Mass: Saturday, April 30, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church near Marengo with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Officiant: Father Fred Dennison.
The family suggests memorial gifts to his church.
