Leonard F. McAfee

Leonard F. McAfee, 82, Corydon, died Thursday, March 24, 2016, in Corydon.
Born Dec. 27, 1933, in Tribby, Ky., he was the son of the late Albert Homer and America Sewell McAfee.
He served as sheriff of Harrison County from 1983 to 1987, was a 50-plus-year member of Pisgah Masonic Lodge No. 32 of Corydon and a Past Master of said lodge, was a member of Old Capitol United Methodist Church in Corydon and Old Capital Chapter No. 467 Order of the Eastern Star, where he was a Past Worthy Patron, and served as Grand Usher for the Indiana Grand Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Carol Boone
Survivors include two sons, Stephen McAfee (Rhonda) and Dennis McAfee (Donna), both of Corydon; six grandchildren, Nathanael McAfee (Lauren), Maria Miller (Ben), Miranda Herndon (Wes), Dennis McAfee Jr., Christina McAfee (Nick) and Alex McAfee; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers; and four sisters.
Visitation: Tuesday, March 29, from 5 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday, March 30, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., with a Masonic service at 7, at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Thursday, March 31, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
