Garland Edward Wheat, 86, Corydon, died Thursday, March 10, 2016, at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon.
Born May 23, 1929, in Corydon, he was the son of the late Edward and Mildred Windell Wheat.
He had been an employee of Kitchen Aid of Louisville and was a member of Corydon Christian Church Disciples of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, the former Harriet Jones; three sons, John (Jack), Richard (Rick) and James (Jim) Wheat; a daughter, Penny Fiederlein; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Monday, March 14, from 2 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday, March 15, after 10 a.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon.
from 2 PM to 8 PM Monday, March 14, 2016 and on Tuesday from Funeral: Tuesday, March 15, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.
The family suggests memorial gifts to his church.
