Ruth L. Curts, 93, Corydon, died Tuesday, March 1, 2016, at Kindred Transitional Care & Rehabilitation Center ‘ Indian Creek in Corydon.
Born Nov. 4, 1922, in Corydon, she was the daughter of the late Dumont and Edna Kopp Straub.
She was formerly employed at the old Armor Elevator Co. in Louisville and was a member of Corydon Christian Church Disciples of Christ.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse C. Curts Sr.; a son, William C. Curts; and a grandson, Joseph A. Curts Jr.
Survivors include four sons, Bob Curts (Norma) of Leavenworth, Joe Curts (Anna) and Jim Curts (Susan), both of Corydon, and Jesse Curts Jr. (Zula) of New Salisbury; two daughters, Janice Weaver (Bob) of Greenville and Sandy Puckett (Jim) of Corydon; 20 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Thursday, March 3, from 2 to 8 p.m. and Friday, March 4, after 9 a.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Friday, March 4, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the Alzheimer’s Association or the American Cancer Society.
