Lanny Douglas Amy, 78, Laconia, died Thursday, Feb. 11, 2016, at Maple Manor Christian Home in Sellersburg.
Born Feb. 15, 1937, in Laconia, he was the son of the late Charles (Jake) and Helen Arter Amy.
He was a retired minister at several Kentuckiana churches, including Union Chapel Christian Church near Laconia, Hyland Christian Church near Mauckport, Central Christian Church, Hill Grove Christian Church near Corydon, Battletown (Ky.) Christian Church, Heltonville Christian Church, Cortland Christian Church, Northside Christian Church in Georgetown, Ky., Marengo Christian Church, Northside Christian Church in New Albany, Milltown Christian Church and Scottsville Christian Church in Floyds Knobs.
Survivors include his wife, Freda Harris Adamczak Amy; three sons, Scott Amy (Melinda) of Jeffersonville, Toby Amy (Karen) of Palmyra and Kelly Amy (Nancy) of Greenville; a stepson, Martin Adamczak (Joan) of Seattle, Wash.; three stepdaughters, Karen Adamczak of Parkhill, Ky., Linda Gramlin of Memphis and Liz Adamczak (Allen) of Henryville; two sisters, Sue Voyles of New Albany and Sherry Snelling (Monty) of Jeffersonville; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Monday, Feb. 15, from noon to 8 p.m. and Tuesday, Feb. 16, after 9 a.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Tuesday, Feb. 16, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with burial in Fairview Cemetery near Corydon.
Pallbearers: Eric and Nash Amy, Jim Dickey, David White, Greg Glass, Joe Schulz and Dwight Lang.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the Louisville Bible College, 8211 Restoration Drive, Louisville, KY 40228.
