Juanita A. Combs, 83, Corydon, died Sunday, Jan. 24, 2016, in Sellersburg.
Born Aug. 4, 1932, in New Albany, she was the daughter of the late Willie and Geneva Fulkerson Kitterman.
She worked as a Harrison County Homemaker for Child Protective Services in Corydon and was a member of Perseverance Chapel United Methodist Church where she was active in United Methodist Women.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Melanie Combs; a sister, Rosalee Hoback; and a grandson, Brent Taylor.
Survivors include two sons, Phillip Combs (Christine) of Georgetown and George Combs III of New Albany; three daughters, Teresa Combs of Corydon, Libbie McMahan of Sellersburg and Mickie Taylor (Bruce) of New Albany; five brothers, Gary Kitterman of Georgia, William Kitterman of Florida and Kevin, Randall and Leland Kitterman, all of Corydon; three sisters, Vivian McCullough of New Albany, Joyce Mattingly of Laconia and Kathy Kitterman of Corydon; eight grandchildren, Hank McMahan, Brian Combs, Kent Taylor, Quentin Combs, Roury Ross, Cory Taylor, Josh Combs and Mariah Combs; and 14 great-grandchildren, Erica Combs, Jaden Ross, Zachary Ross, Shyann Ross, Keeley Taylor, Alexis Ross, Aubrey McMahan, Brody, Kye, Avi and Bae Combs and Vada, Valencia and Verri Taylor.
Visitation: Thursday, Jan. 28, from noon to 8 p.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon and Friday, Jan. 29, from 9 to 11 a.m. at Perseverance Chapel United Methodist Church south of Corydon.
Funeral: Friday, Jan. 29, at 11 a.m. at the church with burial in the church cemetery.
Officiant: Pastor Stephen McAfee.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the Perseverance Chapel United Methodist Women.
