Cody Cotner, 65, Central, died Monday, Jan. 18, 2016, at his home.
Born May 17, 1950, in Corydon, he was the son of Glenda A. Easley Cotner of Central and the late Nyle E. Cotner.
He was a retired mechanic, a member of Valley City Presbyterian Church, a life member of the NRA and an veteran Army Reserve veteran.
Survivors besides his mother include a son, Matthew N. Cotner (Rachel) of Phoenix; a daughter, Amy S. Youravich (Shane) of Sellersburg; a brother, Kendall B. Cotner of Georgetown; two sisters, Nylene Haun (Randy) of Denver, Colo., and Daphne Cotner of Louisville; and a grandson, Collin Michael Youravich.
Visitation: Friday, Jan. 22, from 2 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, Jan. 23, after 9 a.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Saturday, Jan. 23, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in New Amsterdam Cemetery.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the Wounded Warrior Project or Valley City Presbyterian Church.
