Rose L. Reed
Rose Lucille Reed, 99, Corydon, died Thursday, Jan. 14, 2016, at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon.
Born July 10, 1916, in Corydon, she was the daughter of the late Carry and Sarah L. Swan Watson.
She was a member of Hill Grove Christian Church near Corydon, was retired from the old Indiana Army Ammunition Plant in Charlestown and was a farmer.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul James Reed; a daughter, Patsy Bloat; two sons, Darrell and Jack Reed; two sisters, Mildred Wilson and Mamie Dailey; two brothers, Woodrow and William Harold Watson; and three grandchildren, Rickey and Joseph Conley and Sue Reed.
Survivors include a daughter, Paula Craig (Christopher) of Corydon; a daughter-in-law, Brenda Reed of Georgetown; 12 grandchildren, Alan, Brian, Laura, Gary and Sandy Reed, Debbie Monroe, Jan Cox, Anthony, Jerry and Lonnie Conley, Scott Bloat and Nicholas Cline; 19 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Saturday, Jan. 16, from 3 to 7 p.m. and Sunday, Jan. 17, after noon at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Sunday, Jan. 17, at 4 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Central Cemetery.
Officiant: The Rev. Webster Oglesby.
Pallbearers: Alan, Brian, Paul, Gary and Eric Reed, Nicholas Cline, Darrell Chinn and Matthew Monroe.
Honorary pallbearers: Ronnie Cantrell, David Hunter, Anthony Beaven, Chuck and David Jones, Jim Dailey, Carry and Fred Watson and Edward Reed.
