Phillip Dwayne Richard, 52, Mauckport, died Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2016, at his home.
Born March 11, 1963, in Corydon, he was the son of Wilma J. Wiseman Richard of Mauckport and the late Denver Ray Richard.
He was a diesel mechanic and owner of River View Trucking Co. Inc. along with his family members and, in the past years, had worked for Harbeson Brothers Paving and Puckett Pallets until he was afflicted with cancer. He was a member of the Christian Church, the Corydon Sportsman’s Club and the Corydon Moose Lodge.
Besides his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Cordia and Hazel Wiseman and Paul and Beulah Richard.
Survivors in addition to his mother include his wife, Sara Richard; three daughters, Katie and Kylie Richard, both of Mauckport, and Sarah Marsh of Lanesville; a brother, Patrick Richard (Rhonnetta) of Shepherdsville, Ky.; a sister, Pamela Carmichael (Sherman) of Mauckport; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation: Friday, Jan. 8, from 6 to 8 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 9, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday, Jan. 10, after 10 a.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Sunday, Jan. 10, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Hyland Cemetery near Mauckport.
Officiant: Steve Arnold.
Pallbearers: Eric Fowler, David Allen, Gary Hottle, Brad Wiseman, Larry Breeden and Donnie Sutherland.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the American Cancer Society.
