Samuel R. Lyons

Samuel Ray Lyons, 51, Sulphur, formerly of Corydon, died Friday, Dec. 4, 2015, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services in New Albany.
Born June 4, 1964, in Corydon, he was the son of the late Robert H. Lyons Sr. and Wanda Joyce Arnold Lyons Wright.
He was a self-employed machinist and lathe worker and attended Celebration Worship Center in Georgetown.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Paul E. Lyons.
Survivors include his wife, the former Nancy C. Mattingly; a daughter, Chantelle N. Woertz of Corydon; three brothers, Robert H. Lyons Jr. of Greenfield, Larry Joe Lyons of New Salisbury and Mark A. Lyons of Corydon; a sister, Debra Kay Hudson of Palmyra; and two grandchildren.
Visitation: Wednesday, Dec. 9, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Thursday, Dec. 10, after 9 a.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Thursday, Dec. 10, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Bethany Cemetery in New Middletown.
Officiant: Pastor David Ledger.
