Norma Jean Smith, 84, Corydon, died Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2015, in Corydon.
Born Sept. 6, 1931, in Corydon, she was the daughter of the late Roy William and Ann K Brown Smith.
She a homemaker, worked in accounting as a secretary for the IRS in New Albany, was a caregiver, was a member of the Harrison County Council from 1980 to 1984 was a member of the Corydon Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post 2950 and St. Joseph Catholic Church and was a past president of the American Legion.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde W. Smith.
Survivors include two sons, Michael Stephen Smith of Jacksonville, Fla., and Danny Louis Smith of Corydon; a daughter, Tamarya J. Crawford of Corydon; a brother, Roy William Smith Jr. of Clarksville, Tenn.; and two sisters, Charlotte Umber of Sand Springs, Okla., and Janet Stevens of Tulsa, Okla.
Visitation: Saturday, Nov. 28, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 29, after 10 a.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Sunday, Nov. 29, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery in Corydon.
