Beulah M. Davis

Beulah M. Davis, 106, Ramsey, formerly of Benton, La., died Friday, Nov. 6, 2015.
Born Sept. 23, 1909, in Stewartsville, she was the daughter of the late Hugh Edgar and Ada Robb.
She taught in a one-room school near Oliver and lived with Methodist minister the Rev. O.C. Hass’ family in Brooklyn, where she worked as a grocery clerk. She was a clerk and buyer for Belk’s Dept. Store in Greenville, N.C. She was a Brownie Scout leader and member of the church choir. She joined the Army in 1943 and went to Mess Sergeants’ school and was stationed at Fort Oglethorpe, Ga., and later at Northington General Hospital in Tuscaloosa, Ala. She was a member of Unity Chapel United Methodist Church near Ramsey.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Davis, and a son, Scott Harvey Davis.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary Elizabeth Miller of Georgetown; three grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Sunday, Nov. 8, from 4 to 7 p.m. and Monday, Nov. 9, after 9 a.m. at Swarens Funeral Home in Ramsey.
Funeral: Monday, Nov. 9, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
