James D. Hardsaw
James Duane (J.D.) Hardsaw, 90, Laconia, died Monday, Nov. 9, 2015, at Beard’s Assisted Living near Laconia.
Born Sept. 20, 1925, in Harrison County, he was the son of the late James Blaine and Daisy Pearl Amy Hardsaw.
He was a retired foreman from American Standard in Louisville and was an Army veteran.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers, William Harold, Frank, Blaine, Ralph, David and Arlis Hardsaw, and a sister, Bertha Amy.
Survivors include his wife, the former Ruby Sharlene Faith; three sons, James Frank (Jimmy) Hardsaw of Elizabeth and Gary Lynn and Gerald (Pete) Hardsaw, both of Sellersburg; two daughters, Gloria Jean Farnsley of Elizabeth and Rebecca Sue Menges of Lanesville; 14 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Thursday, Nov. 12, from 1 to 8 p.m. and Friday, Nov. 13, after 9 a.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Friday, Nov. 13, at 11 a.m. the funeral home with burial in Otterbein Cemetery near Laconia.
Pallbearers: Ryan Farnsley, Jason, Joe and Jerry Hardsaw, Shane Miller, Jared Robson and Tim Hardsaw.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the Otterbein Cemetery Fund.
