Jean F. Benner
Jean Fried Benner, 91, Tampa, Fla., formerly of Fort Knox, Ky., Panama Canal Zone and West Point, N.Y., died Saturday, Oct. 31, 2015, at her home.
Born Oct. 19, 1924, in Corydon, she was the daughter of the late Sarah Faith Sonner and Milton (Jack) Fried of Corydon.
She was a 1942 graduate of Mauckport High School and earned a B.A. degree in history education from the University of South Florida.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Army Sgt./Major Huelet (Joe) Benner, in 1999; six brothers, Patrick, Judson, Hamilton, Edward, David and Donald Fried; and two sisters, Helen Reynolds and Mary Earp.
Survivors include a son, Mike Benner; two grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.
Graveside service: Saturday, Nov. 7, at 10 a.m. at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.
Arrangements: Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
