Phyllis M. Seipel

Phyllis Marilyn Seipel, 80, Corydon, died Monday, Oct. 19, 2015, at Kindred Hospital at Jewish Hospital in Louisville.
Born Oct. 12, 1935, in Harrison County, she was the daughter of the late Forest and Jacie Reed Mauck.
She was a homemaker and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Corydon.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Nicholas McPhillips; a brother, William Mauck; and a sister, Betty Mays.
Survivors include her husband, Donald Lewis Seipel; a son, Mark A. Seipel of Corydon; a daughter, Melissa McPhillips of New Middletown; a brother, Harold Mauck of Nampa, Idaho; a sister, Jane Gunther of Corydon; and two grandsons.
Visitation: Friday, Oct. 23, from 1 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 24, from 9 to 11 a.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Saturday, Oct. 24, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.
Officiant: Father Rob Hankee.
Pallbearers: Chad, Ryan and Robert Seipel, Scotty and Tony Gunther, Don Mays and Harold Mauck.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the Leora Eisenmenger-Melton Scholarship Fund through the Harrison County Community Foundation.
