John O. Hall, 72, Lanesville, died Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2015, at his home.
Born Nov. 22, 1942, in Louisville, he was the son of the late William R. and Rena T. Ford Hall.
He was a self-employed contractor and land developer, owner of John Hall and Sons in Lanesville, a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lanesville and a Kentucky Colonel.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Bill, Danny, Paul and Alfred Hall, and two sisters, Mary Farmer and Barbara Wells.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, the former Marilyn M. Cochran; two sons, John G. and Martin A. Hall, both of Lanesville; a brother, Marvin Hall of Louisville; three sisters, Sudie Froman and Regina Kerchivel, both of Louisville, and Grace Mayfield of Lanesville; two grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
Visitation: Sunday, Oct. 18, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Monday, Oct. 19, after 9 a.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral Mass: Monday, Oct. 19, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lanesville with burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Officiant: Father Robert St. Martin.
Pallbearers: Bradley and Jerry Philpot, Justin and Aaron Smith, Dylan McRae and Jordan Hall.
The family suggests memorial gifts to St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
