Roger A. Chanley Jr.

Roger Alan Chanley Jr., 49, Leavenworth, died Saturday, Sept. 26, 2015, at University Hospital in Louisville.
Born Nov. 1, 1965, in Corydon, he was the son of Esther Collins Chanley and the late Roger Chanley Sr.
He was a 1984 graduate of Crawford County Junior-Senior High School, attended Crawford Consolidated United Methodist Church in Leavenworth, was involved in Cub Scouts, Webelos and Boy Scouts, worked as a carpenter and contractor for several years and was head of maintenance at Old Stone Lodge and Grill.
Besides his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Omer Sr. and Winnie Rainwater Collins and Carl and E.K. Brown Chanley.
Survivors in addition to his mother include a brother, Tim Chanley; a sister, Bethany Chanley; three stepsons, Matthew, Nathan and Jason Amesbury Sr.; and a step-grandson, Jason Amesbury Jr.
Visitation: Wednesday, Sept. 30, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Dillman-Green Funeral Home in Marengo.
Funeral: Wednesday, Sept. 30, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Cremation was chosen. He was a donor to the Kentucky Organ Donor Affiliates.
Officiant: Randy Coleman.
The family suggests memorial gifts to Dillman-Green Funeral Home to help offset expenses.
