Walter (Donald) Brunner


Walter (Donald) (Bruno) Brunner, 93, Corydon, died Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2015, at his home.
Born April 15, 1922, in Harrison County, he was the son of the late Charles and Anna Pearl Hottle Brunner.
He was retired from the Ford Motor Co. Kentuckiana Truck Plant in Louisville, was a member of Heidelberg United Methodist Church near Corydon, was a life member of VFW Post 2950 in Corydon and was an Army veteran of World War II.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Alva Lee Rainbolt, and two brothers, William and Jay Brunner.
Survivors include his wife, the former Carla M. Hartman; a son, Donald Wayne (Donnie) Brunner of Corydon; a daughter, April Coralee Chenault of Jeffersonville; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Friday, Oct. 2, from 2 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 3, after 9 a.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Saturday, Oct. 3, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Heidelberg Cemetery near Corydon.
Officiant: Pastor Scott Taylor.
Pallbearers: Mike Brunner, Todd Lang, Todd Rainbolt, Kayla Schmidt, Stephanie Lausterer and Gary Melton.
The family suggests memorial gifts to Heidelberg United Methodist Church.
