Marvin A. Burt

Marvin A. Burt, 86, Corydon, died Sunday, Sept. 20, 2015, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services in New Albany.
Born June 13, 1929, in Chattanooga, Tenn., he was the son of the late Martin M. and Flora Ryall Burt.
He was a former evangelist for the Church of God of Prophecy in Cleveland, Tenn., a former truck driver and a member and steward of the Teamsters Union Local No. 89 in Louisville.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Marie Higdon Burt; a son, Marvin M. Burt; a stepdaughter, Amy Unsworth; two brothers, Roy and Charles Burt; and a sister, Bartha Brackett.
Survivors include his wife, the former Leila C. Hardsaw; a son, C. Shawn Burt of Louisville; five daughters, Sandra (Sam) Richert of Georgetown, Pamela D. Burt of Corydon, Deborah L. Tyler of Odessa, Mo., Donna R. Sanders of Jeffersonville and Melissa M. Burt of Elizabethtown, Ky.; a stepson, Trent E. Peyton of Corydon; a stepdaughter, Jeana Mastruserio of Cincinnati; 21 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Saturday, Sept. 26, from 1 to 5 p.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Memorial service: Saturday, Sept. 26, at 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
Officiant: Pastor Kevin Carty.
