Billy R. Reed, 81, Corydon, died Sunday, Sept. 13, 2015, at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon.
Born Jan. 21, 1934, in Central, he was the son of the late Morris Paul and Irma Ruth Longbottom Reed.
He was an operating engineer for Local 181, a heavy equipment operator, a member of the Masonic Lodge in Corydon, the Scottish Rite in Indianapolis, Kosair Shriners in Louisville, the Fraternal Order of the Eagles and St. Joseph Catholic Church in Corydon.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Wilma Wilhoite.
Survivors include his wife, the former Terri Crosier; two sons, Josh and Rick Reed, both of Corydon; two daughters, Deborah Herthel of Marengo and Lisa Watt of Corydon; a brother, Jerry Reed of Corydon; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Visitation: Tuesday, Sept. 15, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Wednesday, Sept. 16, after 9 a.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Wednesday, Sept. 16, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with burial in Bethel Cemetery in Central.
Officiant: Father Rob Hankee.
Pallbearers: Josh Reed, Adam Watt, Rick Reed, Steve Miller, John Suddendorf and Michael Watt.
The family suggests memorial gifts to Bethel Cemetery.
