Ronald D. Harris

Ronald D. (Ron) Harris, 71, Corydon, died Friday, July 17, 2015, at Kindred Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center-Wedgewood in Clarksville.
Born Oct. 10, 1943, in London, Ky., he was the son of the late Taylor and Mary Wathen Harris.
He was a boat pilot, a Vietnam veteran, an assembly worker for International Harvester in Louisville and attended St. Joseph Catholic Church in Corydon.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by seven brothers and a sister.
Survivors include his wife, the former Diana D. Beckort; a son, Darren D. Bennett of Corydon; two daughters, Kelly Green of Corydon and Rhonda Harris; two sisters, Arlene Pool of Coweta, Okla., and Eudell Pickett of English; and four grandchildren.
Visitation: Monday, July 20, from 2 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday, July 21, after 9 a.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Tuesday, July 21, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with burial in Lanesville Protestant Cemetery in Lanesville.
The family suggests memorial gifts to St. Joseph Catholic School in Corydon or the Wounded Warriors Project.
