Mary Estelle Rothrock, 94, Corydon, died Monday, July 6, 2015, at Harrison Health & Rehabilitation Center in Corydon.
Born Nov. 9, 1920, in New Amsterdam, she was the daughter of the late William and Radie Mae Crecelius Pfeiffer.
She was formerly employed at Keller Manufacturing Co. in Corydon and the old Indiana Army Ammunition Bag Plant in Charlestown and was a member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Old Capitol Aerie No. 2794 Ladies Auxiliary, both in Corydon.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Harrison Rothrock; a daughter, Wanda Harrell; three brothers, Herbert, David and William Pfeiffer; and six sisters, Rose Rowland, Faye Haas, Fern Smith and Viola, Janet and Gertrude Pfeiffer.
Survivors include three sons, David H. Rothrock of Huntingburg, Ernest L. Rothrock of Corydon and Dennis D. Rothrock of Crandall; a daughter, Mayetta J. Purcell of New Salisbury; a brother, Bernie (Bud) Pfeiffer of Corydon; 14 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Tuesday, July 7, from 2 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday, July 8, after 9 a.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Wednesday, July 8, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery west of Corydon.
Officiant: The Rev. Jim Higdon.
Pallbearers: Matt, Sam, Wade, Clint, Hank and Bradley Rothrock and Todd and Barry Purcell.
The family suggests memorial gifts to Oak Grove Cemetery.
