Ada L. Burns

Ada L. Burns, 69, Cannelton, died Wednesday, June 17, 2015, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville.
Born Jan. 17, 1946, in Perry County, she was daughter of the late Edward and Clarice Riat Galey.
She was a 1964 graduate of Oil Township, a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, a previous employee of General Electric and Buehler’s Buy Low, a beautician and a former 4-H leader.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Curt Galey.
Survivors include her husband, Norman Burns; a daughter, Shelly Smith of LaGrange, Ga.; a son, James Burns of Sydney, Australia; two sisters, Joy Davis of Elizabeth and Barbara Sue Connor of Branchville; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Visitation: Saturday, June 20, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at Huber Funeral Home’s Tell City Chapel.
Mass of Christian burial: Saturday, June 20, at 10 a.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church in Cannelton with burial in Walker Cemetery.
Officiant: The Rev. Sengole Thomas G.
