The Rev. E. Keith Bottles died Monday, May 25, 2015.
Born Dec. 17, 1927, in Harrison County, he was the son of the late Emery and Emma Bottles.
He graduated from Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, Tenn., in 1951, and, in 1954, from Nazarene Theological Seminary and was ordained a minister in the Church of the Nazarene. He continued further graduate work at Southern Baptist Seminary in Louisville and served as a pastor in Tennessee, Missouri, Illinois and Oklahoma. He was elected as district superintendent of the Chicago Central District and served for 15 years, supervising the ‘planting’ of more than 30 non-English speaking ethnic churches and training more than 500 counselors for the Billy Graham Chicago Crusade. He retired in 1997.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Tirey, and a brother, Harold Bottles.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Joan; three children, Debra, Stephen and Mark, all of Boise, Idaho; a brother, Russel of Florida; and three grandchildren.
Memorial service: Friday, May 29, at 10:30 a.m. at Boise First Nazarene Community Center in Idaho.
