Charles E. Jordan

Charles E. Jordan, 92, Corydon, died Wednesday, May 20, 2015, at his home.
Born Oct. 18, 1922, in New Albany, he was the son of the late Guy and Mamie Collins Jordan.
He was a retired Town of Corydon Water and Sewer maintenance supervisor, was formerly employed at Wolfe Motors in Corydon, was a member of Corydon Presbyterian Church and VFW Post 2950 in Corydon and was an Army veteran of World War II.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, the former Catherine L. Kirby; a brother, John Jordan; and a sister, A. Louise Willard.
Survivors include four sisters, Mary Evelyn Reynolds, Doris Shaffer and Carrolyn Schmidt, all of Corydon, and Bonnie Melton of Brandenburg.
Visitation: Friday, May 22, from 4 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, May 23, after 8 a.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Saturday, May 23, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery west of Corydon.
Officiant: Robert Jones.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the American Diabetes Association.
