Motorcyclist dies in crash
A Corydon man died Sunday morning as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle crash.
According to the Harrison County Sheriff’s Dept., police responded to the 1100 block of S.R. 62 in reference to an injury crash.
When officers arrived, they learned that a motorcycle driver, Paul (Scotty) Wheat, 31, was deceased at the scene.
Witnesses of the crash said the motorcycle was traveling west on S.R. 62 at a high rate of speed, passed a vehicle and then exited the roadway, causing Wheat to lose control of the motorcycle.
Police say Wheat was not wearing any protective gear.
The crash is still under investigation.
