Bernice O. Walker Meenach, 78, Louisville, died Friday, May 15, 2015, at her daughter’s home near Georgetown.
Born Nov. 2, 1936, in Louisville, she was the daughter of the late Clingman Ludreck and Blanche Berryman Walker.
She worked as a librarian for the Jefferson County Public School System and was a member of Calvary Wesleyan Holiness Church near Corydon.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Boss Emery Meenach; a daughter, Tonya Lynnette Meenach; and a brother, Harold Walker.
Survivors include a son, Jonathan Boss Meenach of Dixon, Mo.; a daughter, Katrina M. Browning of Georgetown; two brothers, Leroy Walker and James Walker, both of Louisville; four sisters, Mary Fisher of Dixon, Tenn., Nancy Hudson of Radford, Va., Wanda Kimbler of Bristol, Tenn., and Carolyn Walker of Louisville; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Monday, May 18, from 3 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday, May 19, after 9 a.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Tuesday, May 19, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with burial in Bethany Memorial Cemetery in Louisville.
Officiants: the Revs. Mark Lemon and Justin Jessup.
Pallbearers: Jonathan Meenach, Dewayne Browning, Billy Hibdon, Logan Meenach, Zachary Taylor and Matthew Wells.
