Alice M. Travis

Alice M. Travis, 85, Corydon, died Thursday, May 14, 2015, at Indian Creek Health and Rehabilitation Center in Corydon.
Born Feb. 9, 1930, in Kearny, N.J., she was the daughter of the late Herbert V. and Anna Hoey Maier.
She was a retired registered nurse at the V.A. Medical Center in Louisville and a member of the Catholic faith.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, A. Barkley Travis, and a brother, Herbert Maier.
Survivors include three sons, William B. (Dub) Travis of Hampton, Va., and John R. and James H. Travis, both of Corydon; three daughters, Judy A. Neibauer of Corydon, Caroline Travis of Cantonment, Fla., and Madeleine F. (Lynn) Travis of Jacksonville, Fla.; 13 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Celebration of life: Friday, June 5, at 6 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Corydon.
Arrangements: Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the Doom Chapel Cemetery in Kuttawa, Ky., or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
