Lillie Mae Beauchamp, 74, Corydon,died Thursday, April 30, 2015, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Service in New Albany.
Born May 24, 1940, in Shepherdsville, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Edward A. Ayers Sr. and Margaret E. Taylor Ayers.
She was retired from ICI Americas in Charlestown, formerly employed at Caesars Indiana near Elizabeth, Hoosier Panel Co. in New Albany and Keller Manufacturing Co. and Walmart, both in Corydon, a member of St. Paul’s AME Church in Corydon and the Alice Perry Missionary Society at her church, a past Girl Scout leader and a past president of the Harrison County Church Women United.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin L. (Sonny) Beauchamp, and a grandson, Curtis.
Survivors include six daughters, Mary and Marsha Beauchamp, both of Crandall, Lisa Brown and Mina Parker, both of Louisville, and Marva Brown and Lucia Beauchamp, both of Corydon; five brothers, Edward Ayers Jr. of Clarksville, Charles Ayers of Shepherdsville, Mitchell and Douglas Ayers, both of Jeffersonville, and Donnie Ayers of Corydon; a sister, Barbara Ayers-Thompson of Louisville; nine grandchildren; a step-grandson; 15 great-grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Saturday, May 2, from 4 to 8 p.m. and Sunday, May 3, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon and Monday, May 4, after 9 a.m. at Corydon Christian Church Disciples of Christ.
Funeral: Monday, May 4, at 11 a.m. at the church with burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.
Pallbearer: Marvin, Charles and Michael Ray Beauchamp, Ronnie Lofton, J.T. Brown, Glynn Ayers, Bernard West and Honest Wilson.
The family suggests memorial gifts to St. Paul’s AME Church or Corydon Christian Church Disciples of Christ.
