Karl Edward Ferree, 63, Corydon, died Thursday, Jan. 29, 2015, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services in New Albany.
Born March 27, 1951, in Corydon, he was the son of the late Homer Sr. and Louise Charron Ferree.
He was a self-employed logger, owned and operated Karl Ferree Lumber and attended New Life Christian Church near Lanesville.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant sister, Theresa.
Survivors include his wife, the former Yvette Abel; three sons, Adam and Andrew Ferree, both of Corydon, and Karl (Eddie) Ferree Jr. of Marengo; three daughters, Julie Anne Ferree of Salem, April Smith of Trenton, N.J., and Emily Jo Schotter of Georgetown; three brothers, Homer Ferree Jr. of Sellersburg, Mike Ferree of Columbus and Jim Ferree of Skillman, N..J.; six sisters, Martha Saulman of Corydon, Rosa Warren of Louisville, Gloria Chambers of Greenwood, Berti Young of South Haven, Mich., Diane Ferree of Jeffersonville and Theresa Selvaggi of Virginia Beach, Va.; and 11 grandchildren.
Visitation: Sunday, Feb. 1, from noon to 8 p.m. and Monday, Feb. 2, after 10 a.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Monday, Feb. 2, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with private burial.
Officiants: The Revs. Pete Baumgartle and Darrell Martin.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the Disabled American Veterans.
