Wilma G. Pierson

Wilma Gresham Pierson, 84, Central Barren, died Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2015, at Kindred Health and Rehab in Corydon.
Born in Orange County, she was the daughter of the late Mearl and Leona VanMeter Gresham.
She graduated from Paoli High School in 1947, was retired from Palmyra Skelgas and was a member of Central Barren United Methodist Church, where she served for 50 years as treasurer and Sunday School teacher, and United Methodist Women, where she served in numerous officers’ positions in the local, district and conference levels.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Loren and Doyle Gresham.
Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Calvin Pierson; a daughter, Anna Book of New Salisbury; a son, Kevin Pierson of Georgetown; a brother, Jan Gresham of Ramsey; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Friday, Jan. 30, from 2 to 8 p.m. at Love Funeral Home in Palmyra and Saturday, Jan. 31, after 9 a.m. at Central Barren United Methodist Church.
Funeral: Saturday, Jan. 31, at 11 a.m. at church with interment in Central Barren Cemetery.
